Cupboard
According to an eighteenth-century Hewlett family diary, John Willis was the carpenter-joiner who built the Lewis Samuel Hewlett homestead in Port Washington, NY. It is possible that Willis made this cupboard as part of the original furnishings of the house.

Painted pine cupboard, chestnut secondary wood; original gray-green paint; two double-paneled doors in top section, three interior shelves; two single-paneled doors in lower section; with locks and "H" hinges; bracket feet.
