Watercolor and gouache on beige paper with conentration of blue fibers depicting the homestead of Carll S. Burr. Foreground depicts horizontal strip of grass bordering dirt road extending the length of the painting, one-horse carriage with driver traveling along road from middle left towards the right; one-horse, two-wheeled carriage traveling from far right towards the left. Picket fence borders far side of the road in the midground with opening at far left and center to form a roundabout drive, two-horse carriage on far left leaving drive with four passengers; clustered trees located beyond drive and within semi-circular front yard alongside flower planters; main house in center of painting built in secon empire style with mansard roof and cupola, veranda in front with one figure standing by door; planted trees to right of house in front of extended arbor leading to side of house; windmill and watertank at right of midground, outbuilding behind next to which a man and horse stand. Background consists of brushy treeline fading into lightly pigmented sky with white highlighting in areas to indicate presence of clouds. Painting bordered by thin white line and titled "Home of Carll S. Burr Esqr. Comac. L.I."
